Applications are invited for the purely temporary post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the research project titled “Status, distribution patterns and habitat modeling of Nicobar Megapode Megapodius nicobariensis Blyth, 1846: An impact assessment after fifteen years of the tsunami 2004” sponsored by Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, at Andaman and Nicobar Regional Centre, Zoological Survey of India, Port Blair-744 102, Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
The Zoological Survey of India, founded on 1 July 1916 by the Government of India Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, as premier Indian organization in zoological research and studies to promote the survey, exploration, and research of the fauna in the country.
Junior Research Fellow (01)
- M.Sc. degree in Wildlife Biology/ Zoology/ Environmental Sciences with a minimum of 60% aggregate mark from a recognized University.
- Research experience in bird studies.
The upper age limit for applying for JRF is 28 years as of 31st January 2021. The age limit may be relaxed for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC-Non Creamy Layer (NCL)/ Women/ Physically Challenged applicants as per Government of India rules.
