About the Workshop
IPRs are considered as a barometer of research and development (R&D) activities in Universities, Institutes and Industries worldwide. Thus, creating awareness among faculty and budding researchers is need of the time encouraging them to file patents, copyright, designs, trademarks, geographical indicators, technology transfer, national/foreign direct investments and also helps in technological development of university and industrial sector.
Today there is a dire need for the technology businesses, start-ups and academic institutions focusing on research to understand and become aware of the key issues & recent developments in IPR related to technology segments. The workshop will cover on Fundamental Aspects of IPRs, Indian Patent Acts and Rules, Best Practices in Patent Filings in India, Hands on training on Patent Drafting, Forms and Fees Drafting Procedures, Case Studies and Analysis.
The main objective of the workshop is to sensitize the participants on Intellectual Property rights. Through this workshop the participants will be able to have a better understanding of the following issues/concepts:
- Protecting technical innovation/using patents and patent information for R&D.
- Using patent information.
- IP Law
- IR R&D and knowledge transfer with special reference to universities and public research.
- Case studies / examples related to Intellectual Property Rights will also be discussed.
Faculty members, Research Scholars, Industry Professionals and PG students are requested to make best use of this opportunity. Total number of participants allowed will be 100 on first come first serve basis.
