The Centre for Health Psychology, School of Medical Sciences, University of Hyderabad is organizing a Two-Days Workshop on Research Methodology from May 17 to 18, 2021.
The University of Hyderabad is a public research university located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Founded in 1974, this mostly residential campus has more than 5,000 students and 400 faculty, from several disciplines. The Governor of the state of Telangana is the ex-officio the Chief Rector of the University, while the President of India is the Visitor to the University.
The present workshop is the first in the proposed series of capacity building workshop. Methodology plays a vital role in shaping the research process and outcome. Knowledge and understanding of research methodology help the researcher select an appropriate research method.
The present workshop focuses on applied research methodology covering data collection methods, analysing the data, and the latest software use for data analysis. Participants will learn and practice with experts during the workshop.
After completing the workshop, the participants will know or understand the sampling procedure, and data collection methods. They will know parametric and non-parametric statistics and the use during data analysis appropriately. The participant will learn progressively through the series of workshops, various software features in the statistical analysis of the data.

This workshop is for PhD researchers and scholars working in behavioural sciences, healthcare studies, and social sciences. Participants will be engaged in hands-on experience and interaction with various expert resource persons in all the topics covered during the workshop.
