Seminar cum Training Workshop on Mass Spectrometry at Bharathidasan University, Trichy [Jan 21-24]: Register by Jan 13

About the Workshop

Environmental contaminants that can affect the endocrine system in animals are known as endocrine-disrupting compounds (EDCs). Many EDCs are associated with developmental, reproductive and other health problems in wildlife. In recent years tremendous attention is being paid on the monitoring of environmental chemicals, particularly the Pharmaceutical and Personal Care Products (PPCPs), Plasticizers etc. due to its severe environmental impacts.
Numbers of reports are available on chemical residues present in the environment at alarming levels. Hence, the main focus of the workshop is to impart hands on training on the analysis of organic synthetic micropollutants of emerging concern using Gas Chromatograph coupled with Mass Spectrophotometer. The lab is well equipped with state-of-art GC-MS (SHIMADZU QP2010).
This workshop would be very useful to students and research scholars, and scientists of pollution control boards/ quality control labs, and R&D personal from industries involved in environmental and food quality assessment I monitoring.
