About the Course:

This course is especially intended as an elaborate summer project for engineers, faculty members of engineering colleges and B.Tech/M.Tech/ Ph.D. students. This will provide participants with an in depth technical exposure to MIMO, Massive MIMO and OFDM wireless communications together with hands on simulation experience.

The modular approach will provide the participants with a comprehensive treatment of the theory behind MIMO, Massive MIMO and OFDM technologies such as fading channels, diversity order, Bit-Error Rate (BER) performance etc, including aspects such as space-time coding, beamforming and others.

All the classes will be conducted in “classroom” style towards building up the various theoretical aspects beginning with the fundamentals, together with problem solving sessions to further enhance and consolidate understanding.

Also, a MATLAB/ SIMULINK demonstration module will be held to introduce the participants to the practical implementation and simulation aspects of MIMO -OFDM wireless systems. A one-day mini-project will also be conducted (on 23rd June, 2017) to provide hands-on training and simulate the performance of the latest MIMO, Massive MIMO, OFDM technologies.
