About the Workshop

The Workshop on Managing Funds and Entrepreneurship is organised by JNU New Delhi on Nov 23, 2019.

In the current era of start-up culture, many youths aspire to be an entrepreneur. Some have unique ideas while some just want to replicate the existing business models with a slight change as per geography or demography. However, the most important aspect is the FUND. One may have a brilliant idea but if there is not enough the fund to try the business model and sustain the start-up amid the cut-throat competition, it is quite difficult to move much ahead.

Considering the importance of the fund in the start-up ecosystem, we have planned to organised a day-long workshop on the Fund Raising. Successful entrepreneurs, Fund managers and industry experts will share their experience and guide attendees on ways to raise the fund in a different scenario. While attendees will get to hear the experts, they will also get an opportunity to network and exchange ideas with other entrepreneurs and learn from each other.

Objectives of the Workshop
  • To increase awareness and educate entrepreneurs about various fundraising options and process for their start-ups.
  • To guide participating entrepreneurs on:
  • How to bootstrap your startup?
  • How to calculate valuation of your startup?
  • How to make the perfect pitch deck?
