About the Workshop

The five day National Workshop on The Labour of Women: Perspective and Debates on Development is organised by Women’s Studies and Development Centre for Advanced Studies, University of Delhi and supported by Centre for Women’s Development Studies, New Delhi from Dec 2-6, 2019.

  • Historical Contexts and Perspectives
  • Debating Women’s Work
  • Valuation and Value of Women’s work
  • Perspectives on the Household in Development
  • The Land question
  • Trajectories of Mobility
  • The pasts and present of labour

Registered research scholars and teachers.


Experts in the area would be interacting with the participants. The workshop should be conducted in the participatory mode.
