The Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal is organizing an Online Workshop on Finite Element Analysis of Static and Dynamic Soil-structure Interaction of Geosystems from January 4 to 8, 2021.
National Institute of Technology Warangal, formerly known as Regional Engineering College was established in 1959. Over the years it has developed into a premier institute of higher learning and is ranked among the top technical education institutions in India.
There are 13 Departments offering eight undergraduate and 32 post-graduate programs besides doctoral programs. About 5000 students across the country and about 500 international students study on the campus. It is a fully residential campus sprawling over 250 acres with excellent infrastructure, state of the art library, seminar halls, guest houses, and laboratories.
This workshop provides the participants with detailed insight into the use of the finite element method in geotechnical engineering. This workshop aims to provide sufficient information to assess restrictions, pitfalls, advantages, and disadvantages of finite element analysis and compare the capabilities of available commercial software to make judgments on the credibility of numerical results.
This workshop would help participants to apply the concepts of Finite Element Analysis in research and engineering practice. It will also help to get the knowledge required to identify the leading research domains in the field of geotechnical engineering.

The program is open to all the faculty members, research scholars, students of all institutions, and industry. professionals.
The Registration fee is Rs. 250 for Research Scholars and Students, Rs. 1000 for Faculty and Rs. 2000 for Industry Professionals. The number of participants is limited to fifty.
