A three day International Seminar is being organized by the Department of Sociology & Social Work, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Andhra Pradesh.The theme of the conference is Women Entrepreneurship and Globalization: Issues and Challenges.The seminar will be conducted on February 2-4, 2018.
Main Theme

Women constitute the family, which leads to society and Nation. Economic development of
society or Nation relies on the social and economic development of women. Though women
constitute half of the world’s population and perform nearly two-thirds of work hours, receives one-tenth of the world income. Women have always been discriminated in all forms right from womb to tomb.
The concept of Women entrepreneurship is becoming a global phenomenon playing a vital role in the business community. In India, women have made a comparatively a late entry into business scenario mainly due to orthodox and traditional, socio-cultural environment. Entrepreneurs refer to act of setting up a new business or revising an existing business so as to take advantages from new opportunities.
Thus, entrepreneurs shape the economy by creating new wealth and new jobs and by inventing new products and services.The women have achieved immense development in their state of mind, with an increase in dependency on the service sector, many entrepreneurial opportunities, especially for women, have been created where they can excel their skills with maintaining balance in their life.
However, in the era of globalization entrepreneurs particularly women have been facing challenges from many fronts. In this backdrop, the three day International Seminar will address many challenges being faced by the women entrepreneurs.

Call for Papers

The seminar aims to bring together diverse opinions of Academicians, Entrepreneurs, Industry Professionals, Practitioners, Research Scholars and allow more people to share ideas and help in creating a better environment of entrepreneurship and paving a way for sustainable economic growth.
An abstract of not more than 500 words with the Title of the paper, Key Words along with the details of the author should be sent as a soft copy (MS Word attachment as a Email)to isweg18@gmail.com Full-length paper must be submitted by sending the registration form along with the registration fee on acceptance of abstracts. The full paper should be typed in 12 font in Times New Roman,1.5 line spacing not exceeding 12 pages. Selected papers will be published.
