The Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehra Dun invites application for engagement of the following Project Personnel in the Project “Development of Landscape Management Plan for the SECURE Himalaya Landscapes in Uttarakhand” purely on a contractual basis for a period of 6 months.
The Wildlife Institute of India is an internationally acclaimed Institution, which offers training programs for government and non-government personnel, academic courses, and advisory in wildlife research and management. The Institute is actively engaged in research across the breadth of the country on biodiversity-related issues.
The post details are given below.
1. Senior Project Associate (01)
- Ph.D., in Wildlife Science/ Ecology or related subjects. OR
- Post Graduate Degree in Wildlife Science/ Ecology or related subjects with at least four years of research experience.
- Experience/ knowledge of Landscape based conservation assessment, working with stakeholders and proven
abilities of writing skills.
Assist faculty and experts in various activities of the project at field sites / HQ, coordinate work with a team of researchers, conducting workshops, stakeholder consultations, writing reports, plans, preparation of maps, presentations, and other related activities.
Rs 48,000/- month (consolidated)
2. Project Associate-I (01)
- M.Sc in Wildlife Science /Zoology/ Botany/ Forestry Environmental Science or Management or related subjects.
- Experience in the Himalayan region, working with stakeholders, and proven abilities of writing skills.
Assist faculty and experts in various activities of the project at field sites/ HQ, data collection/ compilation, assistance during workshops, stakeholder consultations, writing reports, plans, preparation of maps, presentations, and other related activities.
Rs 35,000/- month (consolidated)
The selection of the candidates will be in accordance with the performance in the interview and in order of merit as decided by the Interview Committee. All original documents should be produced at the time of the interview. The decision of the Institute’s Committee in all matters relating to eligibility, work experience, acceptance or rejection of the application will be final and binding on the candidates and no inquiry or correspondence will be entertained from any individual.
