About

Mathworks is organizing webinars on various topics of MATLAB and Simulink from May 27 to 28, 2020. These webinars will be highly useful for students, research scholars, faculty members, and professionals who use MATLAB on a daily basis in their work.

The webinar details are given below.

1. What’s New in MATLAB and Simulink R2020a (May 26, 2020)

The webinar will highlight features for deep learning, wireless communications, automated driving, and other application areas. You will see new tools for preprocessing and analyzing data; developing motor control algorithms; creating interactive apps; packaging and sharing simulations; and modeling, simulating, and verifying designs.

This webinar will be conducted on May 26, 2020, at 13:30 IST.

About the Host

This webinar will be hosted by Paola Jaramillo, who is an application engineer at MathWorks in Eindhoven, Netherlands. She specializes in signal and image processing, computer vision, and machine learning. Her primary interests are a sensor data analytics and autonomous systems.

Registration

Interested candidates can register online by clicking here.

2. 5G Waveform Generation and Over-the-Air Testing with MATLAB and RF Instruments (May 26, 2020)

The webinar will introduce the participants to 5G NR waveform generation capabilities of 5G Toolbox and over-the-air testing features of the Instrument Control Toolbox. First, they will show you how to easily perform 5G waveform generation using the new Wireless Waveform Generator app.

Then, you will learn how to perform live tests and measurements by connecting your waveforms to RF instruments from within the same app in MATLAB. Using this workflow, you can verify that your device-under-test (DUT) works properly. Also, you can ensure that the performance metrics in your labs match those expected by the standard specification.

This webinar will be conducted on May 26, 2020, at 3:00 PM, 6:30 PM and 11:30 PM IST.

About the Host

This webinar will be hosted by Eric Wetjen., who is a Product Marketing Manager in the Test and Measurement and IoT group at MathWorks. He has been with the MathWorks for over 11 years covering product management and product marketing for toolboxes that allow MATLAB to interface with instruments, data acquisition devices, industrial equipment, and vehicle networks.

3. Energy Storage Optimization (May 27, 2020)

This webinar will demonstrate a microgrid energy management system that optimizes system response based on both technical and economic constraints, in order to minimize the overall cost of a hybrid energy storage / photovoltaic system. It will be shown how to integrate optimization routines into electrical system simulation.

This webinar will be conducted on May 27, 2020, at 7:30 AM IST.

4. Using MATLAB with Python (May 27, 2020)

The webinar will cover how to call MATLAB from Python and how to call Python libraries from MATLAB. Please allow approximately 45 minutes to attend the presentation and Q&A session. We will be recording this webinar, so if you can’t make it for the live broadcast, register and they will send you a link to watch it on-demand.

This webinar will be conducted on May 27, 2020, at 3:00 PM, 6:30 PM and 11:30 PM IST.

About the Host

This webinar will be hosted by Heather Gorr, who holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Masters and Bachelors of Science in Physics from Penn State University. Since 2013, she has supported MATLAB users in the areas of mathematics, data science, deep learning, and application deployment.
