The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi is organizing a Webinar on ‘Webinar on Standards for fostering Resource Efficiency & Circular Economy in India’ on July 13, 2020, from 2 PM to 4:00 PM.
The webinar is being organized in association with the EU-Resource Efficiency Initiative (EU-REI) Project and the Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India.
The Energy and Resources Institute is a research institute in New Delhi that specializes in the fields of energy, environment, and sustainable development. Established in 1974, it was formerly known as the Tata Energy Research Institute.
Topics for discussion at the webinar include the role of standards in the post COVID era on building resilience through circular transformations, opportunities in India’s existing standards and certification schemes for mainstreaming RE and CE across products and processes, and importance of the lifecycle perspective.
Further challenges that are faced with respect to the standardisation of recycled and reusable materials will be discussed and experiences from the European context would be shared for addressing some of these challenges.
