TERI ENVIS Resource Partner on Renewable Energy and Climate Change is organizing a webinar on ‘India’s Progress in Combating Climate Change through Renewable Energy’ on Mar 26 from 10:30 am onwards.
The Energy and Resources Institute is a research institute in New Delhi that specializes in the fields of energy, environment, and sustainable development. Established in 1974, it was formerly known as the Tata Energy Research Institute.
The central focus of the discussion will be ‘India’s Progress in combating Climate Change through Renewable Energy’, highlighting how Renewable Energy, as a whole, can help in mitigating and combating the Climate Change issues in India, in the backdrop of Nationally Determined Contributions of India. A discussion on the global scenario of Climate Change and Renewable Energy, with a major focus on the Indian perspective, will be done along with the impact of lock-down on Renewable Energy and Climate Change.
An evaluation of the present scenario and future trends of GHG emissions will be done by the experts. The perspective of government will also be discussed as far as the policies are concerned. The main focus of the webinar will be to discuss how Renewable Energy will help reduce GHG emissions which in turn will help in combating climate change.
