About the Webinar

NSS proudly announces a webinar with Dr. Siddharth Waghulkar, Deputy Head, Nutrition and School Feeding Unit, UN World Food Programme on the topic – Malnutrition – a public concern. The webinar will be organised on Sep 4, 2020 via Google Meet.

About the Speaker
  • Dr. Siddharth Waghulkar is currently working as the Deputy Head for the Nutrition and School Feeding unit at the UN World Food Programme, Country Office, India. He has experience of more than 8 years in the field of Public Health Nutrition.
  • He has led several innovative maternal and child health nutrition initiatives across the states where has worked. His areas of interest are Infant and Young Child Feeding, Management of children with Sever Acute Malnutrition, Food fortification amongst others.
  • He currently manages WFP’s portfolio on nutrition in the state of Uttar Pradesh. He has worked across government, international and UN agencies during his experience.
  • Dr. Siddharth has been trained on “Management of Nutrition in Emergencies’ from the Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre (ADPC), Bangkok and University College of London, and holds a Master’s in Public health degree from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
