About the Webinar
Industry and industrial clusters have been the growth poles that contribute to economic progress and development processes across countries and regions, since the advent of and acceleration of industrialization, and industry has either agglomerated organically and / or been encouraged to locate in clusters with spatial characteristics to suit the competitive and progress needs.
India has a large number of industrial clusters and increasing attention is being sought to enable revitalization (for manufacturing sector contribution to rise as a share of GDP contribution), and for the clusters to be provided with improved business development services and addressing common infrastructure requirements that could attract virtuous cycle of investment and growth.
The webinar seeks attention on these aspects and reflects upon a proposed methodology for undertaking diagnostics in industrial clusters via a rating and ranking mechanism, that could provide insights for enabling suitable interventions or lead to autonomous initiatives to arise in industrial clusters for a fresh growth dynamic to arise.
