The Vivekanand Education Society’s (VES), College of Pharmacy, Mumbai is organizing a Free National Webinar on Design of Experiments in Pharmaceutical Research & Development: A Primer for Academia from August 3 to 5, 2020.
Join the sessions on statistical practices in Pharmaceutical experiments as Dr. Anilkumar Gandhi explains the basics of the Design of Experiments along with when and how to use different designs.
The design of experiments (DoE), is one of the tools for QbD implementation. It is a planned approach for determining cause & effect relationships and can be applied to any process with measurable inputs & outputs.
This webinar will cover the basics of DoE explaining concepts of factors and level, construction of a design, ANOVA table, factor interactions, half normal plots, Pareto chart, curvature effect, and so on. Further, they will cover full & fractional factorial designs, Plackett Burman design & response-surface designs such as central composite with the help of pharmaceutical examples.
- Basics of DoE using 2 level factorial design
- Screening designs & 3 level factorial design with CPs
- Response Surface Methods-Central Composite designs
The webinar will be hosted by Dr. Anilkumar Gandhi who is currently associated with Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy as an Associate Professor and Research Advisor. He also works as a Consultant to Pharmaceutical companies in the area of Solubilization, Gastro-Retentive Delivery Systems, Liquid Sustained Release Technology, Modified Release Systems, ODTs, etc.
B. Pharm Students, M. Pharm Students, Ph.D. Students, and Faculty members are invited to attend the webinar.
