The Interactive International Webinar on “Cultural Dialogue in South Asia and Beyond: Narratives, Images and Community” is organised by Jesus and Mary College, Delhi on July 30, 2020 at 3:00 PM.
Professor Ines G. Županov is a historian. She is a Senior Research Fellow at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), Paris and a Fellow at the Centre for Social Studies and Humanities, New Delhi. She is the former Director, Center for South Asian Studies at the School of Advanced Studies in Social Sciences, Paris.
Ines G. Županov completed her Masters and Doctoral Degree at the University of California, Berkeley with a specialization in History of Modern South Asia and Early Modern Europe. She did her Post-Doctoral studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), London. She taught a course on Early Modern History at the University of California, Berkeley and Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She is also teaching regularly at the School of Advanced Studies in Social Sciences, Paris.
She has published extensively on society, culture and religion in South Asia in general and on Catholic missionary encounters in particular. Some of her scholarly writings deserve special mention.
