It would highlight the scope and potential for creating wealth through use of bulk industrial wastes, the concept will be explained through real life cases of the speaker. The title will be “Wealth from Waste: About Circular Economy and role of Waste Recycling”.

Webinar Coverage

Types of various bulk industrial wastes, their environmental impacts and scope for their productive and value added use. The scope and potential will be explained through Indian examples where the speaker has been personally and directly involved.

Speaker

Prof. K.R. Chari is B. E. (Mech. Engg) 1971, PG in Industrial Engineering 1971-73. Worked with NPC for 23 years till 1994. Subsequently worked in IT sector for eight years and joined Academics as a Professor (Operations Management in 2009). Provides consulting services in Waste Recycling, Product Development, DPR preparation, Techno Economic Feasibility assessment, Product and Process design and Optimisation.

Currently he is Professor and Dean SW&SS at BIMTECH. Prof. Chari has undertaken two major projects of the UNEP on waste oils and waste agricultural biomass to energy. He has been invited as a panel member on many international forums at Cambodia, Japan, Taiwan, Brazil, Costa Rica, South Korea etc.
