About Workshop

Climate change is already affecting the planet and will remain to do so for generations to come. Much of the impact of climate change will be felt through changing patterns of water availability, with shrinking glaciers and changing patterns of precipitation increasing the likelihood of drought and flood.

If climate change is the shark, then water is its teeth and it is an issue on which researchers need far greater levels of understanding. The workshop focuses on expanding the knowing of the impact of changing climate on water resources, and developing and implementing adaptive water resources policies.

The event will be an ideal opportunity for Industry experts, Engineers, Scientific officers, Professionals, Researchers, to widen their scope listening to the renowned persons in the subject. The Workshop will provide the opportunity to have your questions and doubts cleared from the distinguished speakers during the Q&A session subsequent to the main session.

About NIT Silchar

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Silchar, an Institute of National Importance under the NIT Act was established in 1967 as Regional Engineering College (REC) Silchar in Assam. In year 2002, it was upgraded to the status of an NIT from REC.

NIT Silchar is situated on the banks of river Barak and on a sprawling campus spread over 600 acres of land on the outskirts of Silchar. The landscape of NIT Silchar campus is beautiful and lush green with lakes and hillocks, surrounded by tea gardens.

Eligibility

Professionals, academicians and researchers from Colleges, R&D labs are invited to attend CCIWRS 2020. Social groups, NGOs and environment caretakers are also welcome.
