The Department of Humanities & Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Science, Education & Research (IISER), Bhopal is organizing a Virtual lecture Series on Science & the Local from March 8 to 18, 2021.
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Bhopal (IISER-B or IISER – Bhopal) is an autonomous public research university in Bhauri, Bhopal district, Madhya Pradesh, India. It was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India in 2008 in order to incorporate research in basic science at undergraduate and graduate level, with equal emphasis on higher education for research and education in science. It is an autonomous institution awarding its own degrees
The talks scheduled in this lecture series are:

- Madhulika Banerjee: Science and Other Knowledge Systems in India: Relationships Now and for the Future (11 March 2021, Thursday, 6.30 pm); Respondent: TBD.
- Gordon McOuat: How International Circulating Knowledge Reconfigures Biology and Statistics: Examining JBS Haldane’s Passage to India (15 March 2021, Monday, 6.30 pm).
