For maximizing farm income, the produce grown through the Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) must achieve the specific standards through certification process. Like organic certification, GAP produced foods also has certification process and farm produced material should meet the standards of certification criteria’s.
GAPs enables the plant to respond in better way for the inputs. In fact, GAPs ensure economic and social sustainability for onfarm processes and result in safe and quality food and non-food agricultural products. In the era of declining factor productivity and degradation of natural resource base of agricultural production system, there is an urgent need to develop GAPs. Adoption of any technology depends on the production of good quality produce and its marketing facilities.
- To impart training on good agricultural practices for enhancing productivity and profitability
- To provide practical orientation of advanced tools and techniques used for efficient crop management.
Who can Apply
The technical staffs of ICAR, SAUs, and KVKs are eligible for participation. The applications must route through proper channel. The total number of participants will be restricted to 25.

There is no course fee for Technical personnel of ICAR institutes. However, Technical personnel from SAUs/CAUs/ICAR funded KVKs are required to pay fees of Rs.2500.0 (Rupees two thousand and five hundred only) in the form of DD in favor of the Director, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi 110 012, payable at Syndicate Bank (IFSC No. SYNB0009029),Pusa, New Delhi 110 012.
The TA/DA will be borne by the sponsoring institute of the participants.
