Taiwan International Graphic Design Award (TIGDA) 2021 [Prizes Worth Rs. 28 L]: Apply by Aug 10: Expired

Applications are invited for the Taiwan International Graphic Design Award (TIGDA) 2021.

Taipei City Government organizes the Taipei International Design Award in the ethos of “Design for Adaptive City”, as an on-going gesture to the world, particularly to those with a passion for creativeness and design, a gesture in projecting the urban branding imagery of “Design Taipei; Dream Taipei”.

Here is an open call for outstanding international designs and an effort to shape Taipei into a convergence platform for creative designs, thereby to discover creative designs with business potential, and further still, to encourage practices of social design in an advocacy that design as a medium can bring humans a better, more pleasant and convenient life.

Taipei City Government has been devoted to shaping Taipei into a city with design visions and has been encouraging designers to see design as a problem-solving tool, that is, to contemplate on the meaning of design, to solve problems inevitably faced by the general public and society, and to promote a sustainable city, further presenting Taipei International Design Award in the ethos of “Design for Adaptive City.”

Eligibility
  • This competition is open to designers from all regions and countries. (The competition can be registered jointly by design executors (companies) and institutes serviced by those executors (including organizations, companies, and related institutes).
  • Entries must be original creations of the contestants completed after May 10, 2019.
Design Categories

Taiwan International Poster Design Award

  • Specific Topic: Human Concerning, Sustainable Development (including Environment Protection & Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction). (Type A)
  • Non-specific Topic: Commerce, Arts, Public Welfare, and Purpose Popularization. (Type B)
  • All entries must be created after June 2019.

Taiwan International CI Design Award

  • Corporate Identity: Brand, logo and other series of design works for companies and institutions. (Type C)
  • Event Identity: Logo and series of design works for commercial campaigns/events. (Type D)
  • All entries must be created after June 2019.
Selection Process

PRINCIPLE FOR JUDGE PANEL

  • The organizer should invite local and international experts as judge panel. The judge panel for each category will consist of experts who come from more than two different continents and nationalities.
  • The organizer reserves the right to change the members of the judge panel if members are unable to participate in the selection process due to illness or unforeseeable circumstances.

METHOD OF SELECTION

  • Inspection of Qualifications: The details of entries, including qualifications, documents, and formats, are inspected.
  • Preliminary Selection: The preliminary selection will be conducted by submission of digital files via an online system. Qualified entries in each category will be selected as finalists.
  • Final Selection: The final selection will be based on the actual physical works, mockups, animations or printouts that meet required specifications.
Prizes

The total amount awards to NT$3,800,000.
