Three-Month Fellowship @ Faculty of Social Sciences, Banaras Hindu University [Rs.1 Lac]: Apply by July 10

Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Chair, Faculty of Social Sciences, BHU invites applications for two short term fellowships for three months each for 2019-20 (From 1st August to 31st October 2019 and 1st December to 28th February 2020).

Eligibility:

Superannuated Professors from the discipline of Economics/Sociology/ Political Science

Themes:
  1. Integral Humanism: A Base for Harmonious Society
  2. Integral Humanism as an alternative to Modern Western Development Paradigm
  3. Indian Political Narratives after Independence and Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya
  4. ‘Welfare State’ in India: A Journey from State Capitalism to ‘YOG-KSHEM’ Regime
How to Apply:

The applicant is expected to work on any one of the themes and will submit a monograph of 40,000- 50,000 words within a month of date of expiry of the fellowship. The value of Short Term Fellowship is Rs. 1 Lac that will be paid after submission of the write up in soft copy.

The application will be addressed to The Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Banaras Hindu University and only online application needs to be submitted to dduc.bhu@gmail.com. Last date of submission of the application is 10th July 2019.

The applications will be short listed on the basis of current academic activeness and interest in research works related to Deendayal’s thought revealed by writings and lectures delivered on this thought.

The applicants are requested to give their preference regarding one of the two periods given above and the topic to be chosen to work on.
