The University of Delhi, informally known as Delhi University, is a collegiate public central university, located in New Delhi, India. It was founded in 1922 by an Act of the Central Legislative Assembly.
The School of Open Learning is a part of Campus of Open Learning. It started as School of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education in 1962, established under the University of Delhi as the first Institution in the field of Distance Education in India.

About the Seminar

The National Seminar on Towards a $5 Trillion Plus Indian Economy by FY 2024-25: Possibilities and Challenges is organised by Departments of Economics and Commerce, School of Open Learning, the University of Delhi from March 30-31, 2020.


Since the topic is about GDP, discussions will take place with respect to four broad areas of the economy: Primary Sector (Agriculture and allied activities), Secondary Sector(Industry and Construction), Tertiary Sector (Service) and External Sector. Authors and participants are free to talk/present their views based on research on any aspect of any of these areas that ultimately addresses the possibilities and challenges for a USD 5 Trillion GDPby FY24-25.

Submission Procedure

Prospective authors are required to submit the abstract of the paper by 20 March 2020. An Expert Team will review these abstracts and based on that the selected authors will be invited to present their papers on the scheduled dates of the seminar. The length of the abstract should not exceed 500 words. The abstract should be sent through MS Word File typed in Times New Roman Font having font size 12.

Registration Fee
  • Rs. 1000/- for all participants
  • Rs. 500/- for Research Scholars
  • Rs. 200/- for PG Students
