Seminar on Risk Analysis in Pharmaceuticals at NIPER Punjab [Nov 1]: Register by Oct 26: Expired


Risk is defined as the combination of the probability of occurrence and the severity of that harm. In the case of pharmaceuticals, there are a variety of stakeholders, including patients and medical practitioners. This seminar shall provide an insight into the need for Risk Analysis, Risk analysis associated with manufacturing processes and analytical procedures. The target audience includes personnel from the industry and academic researchers.

NIPER had successfully conducted 53 training programs under the World Bank sponsored “Capacity Building Project” in the years 2004 to 2008. These were meant for the technical staff from government testing laboratories, regulatory bodies, private testing laboratories and analytical as well as production staff from Small and Medium Pharmaceutical Industries (SMPIs).


The following are some of the topics that shall be deliberated in the seminar:

  2. Risk analysis associated with manufacturing processes
  3. Risk analysis associated with analytical procedures
  4. QbD in manufacturing of dosage formulations
  5. Hazard Analysis and critical control points
  6. QRM: Principles and Industry case studies

Eminent personalities from industry (Dr. DN Dikshit, Retd., Director of Quality and Mr. AP Gupta, Retd. AGM both from Sunpharma Industries Ltd.) and regulatory (Mr. Rajinder Kumar Harna, Retd. ADC, Haryana) shall deliver the lectures.
