The Department of Business Administration at Tezpur University, Assam and Corporate Data Management Project of Ministry of Corporate Affairs, India are organizing a ‘National Seminar on Issues in Emergence of Farmer Producer Companies‘ on April 4. register by April 3.
About the Organizers:
The Department of Business Administration came into existence in January 1995 and is celebrating its silver jubilee in the year 2019-20. At present, the Department is running the Doctoral Programme, Master of Business Administration, and Master of Tourism and Travel Management.
The Corporate Data Management Project was initiated by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) as a Plan Scheme in the year 2015- 2016. CDM System was envisaged to create an in-house data mining and analytics facility by transforming the present transactional system into a Data Warehouse.
About the Seminar:
The concept of Farmer Producer Company has spread all across the country. Even in states like Jammu and Kashmir, Manipur and Tripura and union territories like Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the concept gained popularity.
Most of the literature found were case studies of one or more Farmer Producer Companies in a particular area or region. Hence, the seminar would like to urge the researchers to conduct more studies on this topic taking a holistic view.
The seminar will help in identifying the problems and their solutions through open discussions, opportunities, and strategies to exploit them. The seminar will also help in exchange of knowledge between academics, researchers and corporates.
