Interested candidates are invited to apply in the prescribed format for the project posts of Scientist-B under the “National Data Quality Forum (NDQF)” project aimed at improving the quality of India’s demographic, health and nutrition data at National Institute of Medical Statistics, Delhi.

The post details are given below,

 

1. Scientist-B (Statistics/ Demography) (02)
Job Role

The incumbent will be responsible for doing literature review, collate information on data quality framework, contribute to the development of standards for quality assurance in surveys and administrative data; writing reports and papers for peer-reviewed journals; participate in meetings; assist PI/ project coordinators, etc.

Qualifications
  • First class master degree in Statistics/ Biostatistics/ Health Statistics/ Public Health/ Demography/ Population Studies/ Anthropology from a recognized university with 2 years of experience in the related field. OR
  • Second class master degree with a Ph.D. in Statistics/ Biostatistics/ Health Statistics/ Public Health/ Demography/ Population Studies/ Anthropologyfrom a recognized university.

Preference will be given to those having experience in using statistical software e.g., STATA, SPSS, R; computer languages like Python, SQL, etc. to manipulate data/ data querying and draw insights from large data sets, etc.

Salary

Rs. 48,000/- per month plus HRA as per ICMR rules.

 

2. Scientist-B (Data Science/ Analyst) (01)
Job Role

The incumbent will support the ICMR-NIMS’ NDQF project with insights gained from analyzing large demographic, health, and nutrition data including program monitoring data. An ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets for evaluating data quality, extracting insights for programs, and using models to test the effectiveness of different mechanisms to improve data quality.

Qualifications
  • First-class master degree in Computer Science/ Technology/ Data Analytics/ Data Science from a recognized university with 2 years of experience in the related field, OR
  • Second class master’s degree with a Ph.D. in Computer Science/ Technology/ Data Analytics/ Data Science from a recognized university.

Preference will be given to those having experience in using statistical software e.g., STATA, SPSS, R; computer languages like Python, SQL, etc. to manipulate data/ data querying and draw insights from large data sets, etc.

Salary

Rs. 48,000/- per month plus HRA as per ICMR rules.
