About the Webinar
South Asia Students for Liberty in collaboration with Islam and Liberty Network is organising a Webinar on ‘Islam and Freedom of Religion’ with Mr. Iran Engineer (Director of Centre for the Study of Society and Secularism) as the speaker.
At a time when civil liberties are threatened across the world particularly during a crisis. It becomes more relevant than ever to safeguard them through public dissemination of the principles of liberty such as freedom of religion.
In this webinar, the speaker will focus on the cultural, social and historical perspective of Freedom of religion in the Islamic perspective. The Webinar seeks to engage in a constructive dialogue with students, young professionals, people of faith and intellectuals to promote the Muslim case for liberty and religious freedom.

About the Speaker
Irfan Engineer is the Director of the Center For Study of Society and Secularism set up by his well-known father Asghar Ali Engineer in Mumbai. Irfan is the author of several books and a well-known voice in the struggle for justice and secularism.
