Applications are invited for the post of Research Intern to work on the Research Project-Mobility Assistant for Visually Impaired (MAVI) at IIT Delhi.
The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is a public technical and research university located in Hauz Khas, Delhi, which is one of the 7 old IITs in India. Established in 1961, was formally inaugurated in August 1961 by Prof. Humayun Kabir, Minister of Scientific Research & Cultural Affairs.
The research intern would be responsible for managing existing research work, data, models apart from working on the next generation of models to mitigate existing problems. We are interested in making deployable prototypes for mobility assistance for visually impaired. Thus, the ideal applicant is enthusiastic not just about research but also applying the research output into prototypes and testing them with the users.
- The ideal candidate would work on deep learning models across high-end GPU systems as well as embedded devices like Raspberry Pi and Intel Movidius NCS sticks.
- Please indicate prior experience in the same.
We have both short term (2 months) unpaid internships as well as long term paid project positions (6 – 12 months) which are paid at 10-25k per month + 24% HRA. Please specify which category you would like to apply for.
