IIT Hyderabad invites applications for Research Associate under DST funded project for the year 2021. The last date of application submission is 22 April 2021.
The research group is looking for a young, creative and enthusiastic candidate to contribute to a DST-sponsored research project as part of the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM) titled “Robust Wind Energy Conversion System — when deep learning meets sustainable energy utilization.“
- PhD in research areas like Machine learning in Process Systems Engineering, Multi-objective optimization, Evolutionary algorithms, Deep learning (LSTMs and CNNs), Surrogate modelling, Optimization under uncertainty, Bayesian Non-parametric methods, Nonlinear control using Reinforcement Learning, Modelling and Simulations, from a reputed institute.
- Graduates from Departments of Chemical engineering, Artificial Intelligence are encouraged to apply.
- Graduated (PhD) between 2016 to till date. (Scholars who have submitted their thesis will also be considered)
- At least 5 international peer-reviewed journal publications in the aforementioned areas.
Age: Not more than 35 years as on April 22, 2021
Desirable: The project is purely simulations based where the candidate is supposed to build codes for training ANNs (on static, dynamic and image based datasets) without the use of open source platforms for solving Mixed Integer Nonlinear Programing problems, building Al based wake models and performing wind-farm layout optimization and control under uncertainty using strategies from Reinforcement learning.
The codes will be run on High Performance Computers and thus prior experience in parallel computing, and wind energy conversion systems will be considered a plus. Candidate should be fluent in C/Fortran, Matlab and Python.
Eligible candidates can send their latest CV to kishalay[at]che.iith.ac.in on or before 22nd April 2021 by 5:00 P.M.
