Program on Quantum Optics & Quantum Technology @ Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science [Kolkata, June 5-8]: Register by May 26

A short academic program on the topic, ‘Quantum Optics & Quantum Technology’ has been Jointly organized by the Department of Materials Science & Raman Centre for Atomic and Molecular Sciences (RCAMOS), Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (Jadavpur, Kolkata) on 5-8 June 2017

The program has two parts:

  • Part-I (5-7 June): Semi-pedagogical lectures
  • Part-II (8 June): Discussion meeting

This is a short (4-Day) program aiming to discuss the current progress and developments in the fields of Quantum Optics & Quantum Technology; by bringing together academicians and researchers working in these and related fields such as quantum dots, quantum wells, quantum control, quantum engineering, etc.

The purpose of the Part-I is to prepare for technical background and awareness of the current topics of interest in these fields.

The aim of the Part-II is to initiate collective efforts for research and development in these fields in India. The participants of this program are mostly local students and researchers.

Topics to be covered:

  1. Fundamentals of Quantum Optics & Quantum Information
  2. Quantum Teleportation, Computing and Quantum Key Distributions with Photons
  3. Quantum Engineering & Technology

Registration fee: Rs. 200.
