The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur invites application for the post of Project Post Doc Fellow (Post-doctoral research fellow) in the sponsored project “Development of Linear Scaling DFT” by Dr. Nisanth N. Nair (Department of Chemistry, IIT Kanpur).
The work involves development of density functional theory-based methods and programs. They are also looking for talented candidates with previous experience in development of Density Functional Theory Methods and implementation.
Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur is a public technical and research university located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. It was declared to be an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India under the Institutes of Technology Act.
Project Post-Doctoral Fellow (01)
- The candidate should have a Ph.D. Degree.
- Previous experience in: Numerical Methods/ Programming and Density functional theory methods development.
- Good programming knowledge using any one of the following languages: FORTRAN, C, C++.
Rs. 50,000/ 55,000/ 60,000 pm (depending on the previous experience)
One year, from Nov 01, 2020. There is possibility to the position for another 1 year or more (depending on the fund availability).
