Applications are invited for Project Positions Under Cipla Foundation at NIMHANS, Bengaluru for the year 2021. The last date of application is 27 November.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up the following post on contract basis for the Cipla Foundation-funded project entitled “Development of a Neuro- palliative and Supportive care model for patients with chronic neurological conditions in NIMHANS” under Dr. Nalini A., Professor of Neurology and Principal Investigator.

Project Coordinator

Qualification: MSW (Medical and Psychiatric Social Work)/ MA/MSc in Psychology/ Masters in Public Health or equivalent and five years of experience in health project management. Or PhD in Social Work/Psychology/Public health or equivalent and one year of experience in handling healthcare related project management. Or MBBS/ BAMS/BUMS/BHMS and two years of experience in health
project management.

Desirable: Experience of project management and implementation, Monitoring and evaluation. Exposure to palliative care services. Knowledge of Epi Info/SPSS/STATA/R software.

Maximum Age limit: 50 years.

Salary: Rs. 65,000/- per month consolidated.

Duration of the project: Three years. Initial appointment will be made for six months, extendable based on the performance of the candidate.

Key responsibility: Assisting the Investigator team in project implementation and conducting key activities related to

  • co-ordination the overall activities of the project. She/he will be responsible for monitoring and supervision.
  • development and maintenance of the database, documentation: enrolment, obtaining informed consent for participation in the study, entry of all clinical data, ensuring follow up.
  • Coordination and communication with scientific advisory team members, other stakeholders and NGOs.

Medical Officer

Qualification MBBS/ BAMS/BUMS/BHMS and two years of experience working in clinical setting. Exposure to/ training in Palliative Medicine

Desirable Additional training in Palliative medicine is desirable

Maximum Age limit 40 years.

Salary Rs.80,000/- per month consolidated.

Duration of the project: Three years. Initial appointment will be made for six months, extendable based on the performance of the candidate.

Key responsibility Assisting the Investigator team in project implementation and conducting key activities related to

  • conducting palliative care assessment and delivering palliative care services to the identified participants
  • setting up assessment protocols and contribute to standardising disease specific guidelines for NPC.

Palliative Care Nurse

Qualification: BSc Nursing

Desirable: MSc Nursing. Additional training in Neurology, Oncology nursing or Palliative care setting is desirable

Maximum Age limit: 40 years.

Salary: Rs.35,000/- per month consolidated.

Duration of the project: Three years. Initial appointment will be made for six months, extendable based on the performance of the candidate.

Key responsibility: Assisting the Investigator team in project implementation and conducting key activities related to

  • conducting palliative care nursing assessment and delivering services to the identified participants
  • setting up nursing assessment protocols and contribute to standardising disease specific guidelines for NPC

Social Worker/ Counsellor

Qualification: MSW (Medical and Psychiatric Social Work)/ Post-graduation in Counselling Psychology or equivalent

Desirable: Exposure to/ training in Palliative care setting

Maximum Age limit: 40 years.

Salary: Rs.35,000/- per month consolidated.

Duration of the project: Three years. Initial appointment will be made for six months, extendable based on the performance of the candidate.

Key responsibility: Assisting the Investigator team in project implementation and conducting key activities related to

  • conducting psychosocial palliative care assessment and delivering psychosocial support services to the identified participants
  • setting up psychosocial assessment protocols and contribute to standardising disease specific guidelines for NPC.
