Project Positions at TISS, Mumbai [3 Vacancies]: Apply by June 25

About

Applications are now invited from meritorious candidates for various posts at the iCALL Psychosocial Helpline, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.

iCALL is a field action project of the School of Human Ecology, TISS. iCALL offers online counseling services with the help of trained counselors. It provides emotional support to individuals in distress. The counselors actively and supportively listen to individual’s disclosures of emotional distress and provide a safe and holding environment for the same.

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 and is a deemed university fully funded by the University Grants Commission, Government of India. TISS offers over 50 Master’s Degree programs from its Mumbai, Tuljapur, Guwahati and Hyderabad Campuses.

The post details are given below.

 

1. Program Assistant (02)

The candidate shall report directly to the Project Leader, Programme Coordinator, and the Programme Officer at iCALL, and shall be responsible for the following:

  • Developing content/ training modules to address psychosocial wellbeing children & families affected by COVID-19 in Maharashtra.
  • Conducting the dipstick analysis of patterns and trends in the psycho-social impact of COVID-19 pandemic on children and their families and adolescents and youth & developing a report for the same.
  • Development of referral network & mapping psychosocial community resources for children, adolescents, families.
  • Training youth volunteers to offer psychosocial support & offer handholding through supervision.
  • Coordination and implementation of the various deliverables under the project.
Qualifications
  1. Possess a full-time Master’s Degree in Psychology/ allied sciences from a UGC recognized University.
  2. Should have experience working with the community, especially with children, adolescents, and their parents.
  3. Speak English, Hindi, and Marathi.
  4. Possess excellent academic and research writing skills in English. Have experience in content development and training within community settings.
  5. Be willing to work flexible hours.
Salary

Rs. 22,000/- per month

 

2. Program Officer (01)
Job Profile

The candidate shall report directly to the Project Leader and Programme Coordinator at iCALL, and shall be responsible for the following:

  • Planning, coordinating with various stakeholders, and implementation the various deliverables under the project.
  • Overseeing work undertaken by the program assistants.
  • Developing content/ training modules to address psychosocial wellbeing children & families affected by COVID-19 in Maharashtra.
  • Training youth volunteers to offer psychosocial support & offer handholding through supervision.
  • Administrative management of processing bills, paper-work, contracts, etc. in TISS.
Qualifications
  1. Possess a full-time Master’s Degree in Psychology/ social sciences (with relevant specialization) from a UGC recognized University.
  2. Should have 2-3 years of experience working with the community, especially with children, adolescents, and their parents.
  3. Should have experience of leading a project & team to ensure project deliverables are completed in a satisfactory manner.
  4. Speak English, Hindi, and Marathi.
  5. Possess excellent communication skills, academic, and research writing skills in English.
  6. Be skilled in providing the training, supervision to various constituencies.
  7. Be willing to work in flexible hours.
Salary

Rs. 25,000/- per month
