Project Positions at Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun: Apply by Jul 13

WII (Wildlife Institute of India) invites application for a Walk-in-interview for five posts for engaging Project Management Staff for various projects. All engagements are purely on a contractual basis, initially for a one-year period from the date of engagement that can be extended depending on the candidate’s performance and the programme needs.

Project Title: NMCG-WII Phase II Planning and Management for Aquatic Species Conservation and Maintenance of Ecosystem Services in the Ganga River basin for a Clean Ganga

Database Operator

Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with ≥60% marks and ≥2 year experience in relevant field. Experience in management of front office jobs and organizing meetings, Data organization.

Age limit: Max 35 Years

Salary: Rs. 32000

Training Assistant

Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in subjects related to life sciences, management, economics, humanities, commerce or social science or Bachelor’s degree in Computer science with ≥2 year experience in relevant field. Experience of organizing training programmes and workshops in terms of logistics.

Age limit: Max 35 Years

Salary: Rs. 30000

Social Media Operator

Eligibility: Master’s degree in management/ Social work or related subjects with minimum of 60% aggregate marks with ≥2 years of experience. Experience of development and web-based infographic management and public liaising. Proficiency in MS Office, Internet and Tally.

Age limit: Max 35 Years

Salary: Rs. 25000

Project Title: Conservation Action Plan for Sangai: An Integrated Approach

Conservation Officer

Eligibility: M.Sc. in Wildlife Sciences/ Zoology/ Life Sciences/ Biotechnology or related subjects With ≥60% marks and >4 years of research experience on wildlife sciences/ecology/conservation genetics. Experience of wildlife population monitoring, conservation genetics study and field conservation.

Age limit: Max 35 Years

Salary: Rs. 42000

Community mobilizer/Research Assistant

Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in Economics/ Political Science /Social work / Humanities or related subjects with ≥60% aggregate marks. Work experience in community engagement in North-East India.

Age limit: Max 35 Years

Salary: Rs. 20000

How to apply?

The candidate should send duly filled application form (Annexure 2) to the Director, Wildlife Institute of India, Chandrabnai, Dehra Dun, 248002 within one months of the publication of this advertisement (13 June 2020). The applications will be screened and shortlisted candidates will be called for the personal interview. The date of interview will be communicated to the candidates for making travel arrangement to report at WII. The selection of the candidates will be in accordance with the performance in the interview and in order of merit as decided by the Interview Committee.
