Applications are invited to attend Online Interview for various project posts in NASF, DST and DBT funded and SMRF project at Division of Entomology, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi-12. The posts are purely on contractual basis. Interested candidates can check out full details below.

Senior Research Fellow

Project title: Development of sustainable management tools for the invasive pest, Fall Armyworm Spodoptera frugiperda (J.E.Smith) in maize.

Essential: M.Sc. in Entomology/ Agril. Entomology/ Zoology Entomology/ Plant Protection/life sciences/ Biosciences with 4/5 years bachelor’s degree. Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent (As per ICAR memorandum OM no. Agri.Edn./6/27/2014/HRD Dated 13.07.2015 and F.No. Agri.Edn./6/27/ 2014/HRD Dated 09.10.2015and OM No. SR/S9/Z09/2018 of DST dated 30.01.2019)

Desirable: Knowledge of microbial, fermentation techniques and formulations.

Project title: National Facility on insect rearing and xenobioticcum-transgenic bioassays

Desirable: Knowledge of insect rearing, microbial techniques.

Salary: Rs 25,000/- (consolidated)

Project title: National Facility on insect rearing and xenobioticcum-transgenic bioassays

Essential: B.Sc. in life sciences

Desirable: Working knowledge of computer and MS office

Junior Research Fellow

Project title: Phylogeny classification and biogeography of leaf roller moths belonging to family Tortricidae (Lepidoptera)

Essential: Masters degree in Entomology/Zoology/Biotechnology /Life Sciences with 4 years / 5years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualification or equivalent (As per ICAR memorandum OM no. Agri.Edn./6/27/2014/HRD Dated 13.07.2015 and F.No. Agri.Edn./6/27/ 2014/HRD Dated 09.10.2015and OM No. SR/S9/Z09/2018 of DST dated 30.01.2019)

Desirable: Candidates with research experience in taxonomy of insects/molecular biological tools specially DNA barcoding.

Junior Research Fellow

Project title: Integrative taxonomy of insect pests of rice and their natural enemies of NorthEast India.

Essential: M.Sc. in Entomology/ Zoology (with Entomology)/Life Sciences. The candidates with 3 years bachelor’s Degree must have NET qualification or equivalent (As per ICAR memorandum F. No. Agri. Edn./6/27/2014/ HRD Dated 13.07.2015 and F. No. Agri. Edn./6/27/2014/HRD Dated 09.10.2015)

Desirable: Candidates with research experience of handling of insects/molecular biology tools, knowledge of data analysis. Ph.D candidates can also apply. Willingness to travel extensively in NE India.

Salary: Rs. 31000/- + HRA per month
