Applications are invited for Project linked Person Under SERB Funded Project at ISI Kolkata for the year 2021. The last date of application is 31 October.
Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata is inviting applications from highly motivated and eligible candidates for the recruitment of one (01) Project linked person purely on temporary basis to work full time in the project titled “Robust Statistical Learning for High-Dimensional Biomedical and Omics Data” funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Government of India and to be carried out at the Interdisciplinary Statistical Research Unit of the Institute, Kolkata.
Essential: Master’s degree in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Computer Science from a recognised University, with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent grade and strong experience in programming with R/ MATLAB.
Desirable: Background knowledge in robust statistical inference and/or data science/ machine learning/bioinformatics-related programming. It is desirable that the candidate have qualified CSIR/ UGC NET or GATE with a valid scores.
Age: Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 October 2021 with usual relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Differentially abled and exceptional candidate(s).
The appointment will be initially till 31 March 2022 from the date of his/her joining the institute which may be extended later/ terminated earlier depending on availability of funds and performance of the candidates.

Rs. 24000 to Rs. 38440/- (Rupees thirty eight thousand four hundred forty only) per month (Consolidated pay with no other allowances) depending on the educational qualifications and work experience of the selected candidate.
