The Laboratory for Nano-scale Optics and Meta-materials, Department of Physics, IIT Ropar is interested to hire one Project Assistant (PS) to work in the project, for a duration of five years, under the Swarnajayanti Fellowship scheme of DST-SERB.

Studies on the spectral and temporal modification of spontaneous emission of solid-state defects using resonant photonic structures.
The project involves the experimental studies of the spontaneous emission from solid-state defects modified using resonant photonic structures. The PS will join a team of researchers to design and build state-of-the-art optical experiments to measure the emission in both frequency and time domain in an ultra-low temperature environment.

Eligibility
- First-class diploma (three-year) in Instrumentation engineering /Electronics and communication engineering/BSc Electronics with good academic grades throughout.
- Experience in research labs/instrumentation facility and knowledge in computer programing is desirable.
General Information
The position is temporary which will be renewed every year subject to the satisfactory performance.
