The Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehra Dun invites applications for Walk-in-interview for
engaging Project Assistants on Contract For Project entitled “Spatial Ecology of Himalayan Torrent Frog Nanorana vicina in response to habitat dynamics” purely on a contractual basis.
Project Assistant – One.
Bachelor degree in Biological Sciences (Zoology, Botany) with 60% aggregate marks on any of the above subjects from a recognized university.
Exposed to herpetological research with field experience.
Not exceeding 28 years as on the date of interview. Upper age limit in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories may be relaxed as per the rules.
The work involves working in the fast flowing Himalayan streams for collection of field data during day and night time.
Uttarakhand region (Benog Wildlife Sanctuary, Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, Uttarkashi).
Grant in Aid.

The candidate should report at Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Chandrabani, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, with original application and documents at 09.00hrs on 1st July 2019 for scrutiny of documents followed by Interview on the same day at 11.30 hrs onwards. The Interview will be based on the subject knowledge (Basic Herpetology,
Ecology & Conservation).
Candidates should bring the duly filled-in application in the prescribed format available here with attested true copies of testimonials of educational qualifications along with the certificate of extracurricular activities; date of birth, mark sheets of all examinations etc. All original documents/certificates must be produced at the time of registration for necessary
verification. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
