Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for a postdoctoral position (RA) in the DST funded (under National Supercomputing Mission) research project titled “Redesigning of antibody and finding novel inhibitors for dengue virus using computational approaches”.
Brief description of the project
The objective of the project is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the envelope protein of all four dengue serotypes, identification of its conserved region, and to study the binding mechanism of bnAbs developed against that conserved region using molecular modeling and molecular dynamics simulations.
Further, we aim to investigate how we could improve the binding of bnAbs, computer aided drug discovery, the role of glycosylation sites in binding, and the molecular-level insight into trimer E/prM membrane system via all-atom MD simulations.
Ph.D. (awarded or thesis submitted) in Computational Biology/Computational Chemistry/ Bioinformatics/ Biophysics/ Biotechnology/ Physics/ Pharmacy or in equivalent streams with good publications in international journals. Candidates with research experience in molecular dynamics simulations of biomolecules (proven by publications) using AMBER/ CHARMM/ GROMACS/ LAMMPS are preferred.
Age Limit: 35 Years with relaxation to SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped/Women candidates as per Government of India norms.
Consolidated Emoluments per month: Rs. 47,000/- House Rent Allowance (HRA): All Postdoctoral Fellow may be provided accommodation based on availability and those residing in accommodation provided by the institute will not be eligible for drawing HRA. Wherever provision of hostel accommodation is not possible, HRA may be allowed to Postdoctoral Fellow as per Government norms applicable in the city/location where they are working.
Initially for one year, extendable for further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.
