Applications are invited for Post Doctoral Fellowship (Chemical Engineering) at IIT Ropar for the year 2021. The last date of application is 31 August 2021.
Applications are invited for an institute postdoctoral research position in the Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Ropar, under the project titled “A combined effect of complexation behavior of biopolymers and self-assembly behavior of oppositely charged particles (OCPs) to influence the stabilization of water-in-water (W/W) Pickering emulsion. The fellow will aim to develop a strategy to make a stable emulsion gel with improved resistance to deformation.
Essential qualifications: PhD in Chemical/ Materials/Polymer/ Bio Engineering/Technology or PhD in Chemistry/Physics with a good academic record. Candidates must have obtained at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST) in their Master’s.
Desired qualifications: Candidates having good work experience with the synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles, polymeric colloids, and rheology of dispersions will get an advantage.
It will be given initially for one year, which can be extended further based on the evaluation of the performance by the principal investigator.

- A one-page cover letter describing the background and how it will help to pursue this project.
- Application in prescribed format as given in Appendix 1
- Soft copy of all degree certificates.
- Proof of GATE qualification, if any.
Apart from the above documents, the candidate must also arrange to send at least two letters of recommendation (One preferably from a Ph.D. supervisor).
A consolidated fellowship between 45000-55000/ month will be provided based on the experience and qualification of the candidate.
