Applications are invited from highly motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Research Associate (RA-III) in an R&D Project under National Supercomputing Mission, HPC.
Applications Development Funded Research Project by DST in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeiTY) titled “A Novel Scalable High-Performance Machine Learning Algorithms for NGS Analysis of Genomics Data at Exascale Level”, in the Discipline of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Indore.
The objective of this project is to make the agriculture sector more sustainable so that it can meet one of the major growing demands of resources such as nutrients by contributing through the development of the advanced NGS technologies.
The study aims to use the supercomputing facilities and Big data analytics to developed the advanced scalable machine learning techniques for the storage and computational processing of wheat genome, rice genome, and soybean genome for securing crop production with higher yields, resistance/tolerance to disease, improved crop quality.
- Research Associate: Doctorate (Ph.D.) or equivalent degree or having 3 year of research, teaching, and design and development experience after ME/M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal.
- Age limit: Maximum 35 Years
- Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxed up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Women and Physically handicapped candidates.
- Desirable: Degree should be in Computer Science/computational mathematics. A background of artificial intelligence or soft-computing or machine learning or data mining is strongly recommended.
Initial appointment will be for six months, which is extendable till the completion of the project solely based on performance.

As per the DST norms, the stipend (emoluments per month) for the position is as follows: Research Associate-III: INR 54000/- + HRA (if hostel accommodation is not provided) + MA.
