The award of Ph.D. degree is in recognition of high academic achievements, independent research and application of knowledge to the solution of technical and scientific problems in Science, Technology, Architecture, Management and Humanities.

Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. programme must have a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master‟s degree in the relevant discipline by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale.
University Scholarship/Assistance-ship by the University will be offered to the Topper of Pre Ph.D.course work done in the University provided the candidate is not availing any other scholarship. In case two or more candidates have the highest SGPA in course work then topper shall be decided by existing rule to award Gold-Medal to break the tie.
The students can avail the Scholarships granted by other organizations like UGC, AICTE / TEQIP etc.
