The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, National Institute of Technology Warangal (NITW), is organizing the First ‘Humanities and Social Sciences Research Conclave’ from December 8 to 10, 2021. The aim of this, first of its kind, Pan- NIT Conclave is to discuss and deliberate on how Humanities and Social Sciences research can be more relevant to the country’s social and economic development.
National Institute of Technology Warangal, formerly known as Regional Engineering College was established in 1959. Over the years it has developed into a premier institute of higher learning and is ranked among the top technical education institutions in India.
The aim of the National Conference in the Pan-NIT Humanities and Social Sciences Research Conclave is to provide Faculty and Research Scholars with a comprehensive overview of contemporary research, curricula, pedagogy, and program development strategies of the Humanities and Social Sciences departments of various NITs, including dialogue with leading educators and faculty.
Following is the proposed threefold agenda for this conclave:
- Discuss the current research trends in Humanities and Social Sciences.
- Deliberate upon key research areas in line with NEP 2020, proposed by the Government of India, and developing actionable research agenda.
- Identify new emerging areas of research in all the specialization areas of Humanities and Social sciences.
Call for Abstracts
High-quality abstracts under the following areas are invited for presentation at the Conference:
- English Literature
- Language Education
- Phonetics and Linguistics
- Political Science
- Public Administration
- Economics and Management studies
Faculty and Research Scholars of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of any IIT, NIT, IIIT, or Central University in India can participate in the Conference. Interested candidates are requested to submit their abstracts (not exceeding 250 words) by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Authors whose papers are accepted for the conference have to remit the conclave registration fee of Rs. 400/- through NEFT/ IMPS or other types of online fund transfer (payment details and registration form will be emailed to the participants whose abstracts are accepted). The registration fee includes admission to the main conference, technical sessions, plenary sessions, workshops, networking breaks & the e-Magazine ‘Sagacia’. All presenters will receive an e-certificate.
