The importance of entrepreneurship and new business start-ups for a developing economy has been recognized. There is growing recognition among different stakeholders – entrepreneurs, investors, employees and government – that building an ecosystem to facilitate start-ups requires concerted and coordinated effort from all stakeholders.
Starting up is only the first part of the challenge – the bigger challenge is scaling up. It is important to not only start up but also to scale up, so that the benefits of the innovation and new solutions can reach a wider set of beneficiaries as well as make the venture sustainable. The 6 Pan-IIM World Management Conference invite management scholars, practitioners and policy makers to come and be part of the deliberations that would help enhance the ecosystem for entrepreneurship in India.
