The Department of Computer Science & Technology, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Andhra Pradesh is organizing an Online Workshop on Parallel & Distributed Computing from July 19 to 23, 2021.
National Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh is the 31st institution among the chain of NITs started by the Government of India. NIT Andhra Pradesh is established in the state of Andhra Pradesh recently in the academic year 2015 – 2016.
This course will cover widely used parallel and distributed computing methods, focusing on datacenter-scale distributed software and methods such as Spark. This course covers the most important techniques and paradigms for parallel and distributed algorithms.
A wide range of topics such as parallel programming models, PRAM models, parallel objects, consensus algorithms, task scheduling, graph algorithms would be discussed in depth.

The participants of the course will be faculty, Ph.D. students from technical institutions, and researchers.
Academicians in the field concerned with IITs/ NITs/ IIITs are invited to deliver lectures in the program. Speakers from industries are also expected as speakers for this course.
