This programme sponsored by Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR) aims at preparing the teachers to meet the requirements of classroom teaching in the 21st Century. The core functions of 21st Century skills education is learning to learn in preparation for a lifetime of change.
This integrated skills set is expected to instil and sustain holistic development in learners and make them well-rounded individuals. This family of skills becomes the need of the hour, as the skills mismatch between the academia and industry has resulted in employment deficit. Training the teachers in promoting skill-based education will help in bridging this skills mismatch.
The course aims at equipping teachers to be competent in facing the challenges of the dynamic learning environment, by providing an insight to soft skills for success and life skills for survival at the workplace. The participants can hone their abilities through interactive sessions and impart the skills to their students.
