SVNIT Surat is organizing an Online Training Program on An approach for water conservation and management for sustainability from July 27 to 31, 2020.
The main objective of the one-week short-term training program (online mode) “An approach for water conservation and management for sustainability” is to disseminate the knowledge about the problems faced in water conservation and its proper management measures.
SVNIT Surat initially established as Sardar Vallabhbhai Regional College of Engineering & Technology in 1961 and was upgraded as a National Institute of Technology in 2002.
Some of the topics to be covered in the program include:
- Water conservation
- Rainwater harvesting
- Recycle and reuse of black water
- Recycle and reuse of greywater
- Recycle and reuse of water in industries
- Recharging techniques
The training program is open to engineers, teachers, researchers, professionals, and persons from Industry. As the training program is interdisciplinary in nature, persons with Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, and Applied Sciences background can attend the program. Research scholars working in the above areas are also eligible to apply.
The resource persons for the program shall include faculty members of NIT Surat, IITs, NITs, and other institutes of repute as well as experts from industries/ GPCB.

- For Academicians: Rs. 300/-
- For Professionals/ Industry person: Rs. 1000/-

The program will be run in online mode during 27-31 July 2020 from morning 10 AM to 5 PM. Program link will be shared to the selected registered candidates.
