The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Andhra Pradesh is organizing an Online Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Optimization Techniques & Applications from September 21 to 25, 2020.
National Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh is the 31st institution among the chain of NITs started by the Government of India. NIT Andhra Pradesh is established in the state of Andhra Pradesh recently in the academic year 2015-2016.
The main objective of this FDP on “Optimization Techniques and Applications” is to acquaint the participants with the practical aspects of optimization methodology, with a major focus on the techniques and strategies through lectures sessions. The FDP will be useful to research scholars and faculty working in the domains of optimization algorithms, ranging from those applicable to the minimization of a single-variable function to those suitable for large-scale nonlinearly constrained applications.
- Linear Programming
- Integer Programming
- Network Optimization Models
- Non-linear Programming (without constraints)
- Goal Programming
- Approximability of hard optimization problems
- Non-linear Programming
- Non-linear Programming (with constraints)
The participants of the course will be faculty & Ph.D. scholars from technical institutions.
A Registration fee of Rs. 200/- needs to be paid only after getting the confirmation email from the FDP coordinator. Selection will be done on a First Come First Served basis.
