The Department of Civil Engineering, NIT Andhra Pradesh is organizing a Five Day Online Faculty Development Program on Earthquake Geotechnics from September 22 to 26, 2020.
The focus of this FDP is to acquaint the participants with the theory, research, and practice of Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering through lectures covering both fundamentals and applications. The content covers a range of topics including dynamic soil properties, ground response analyses, and seismic design of walls, slopes, piles, caisson foundations.
National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh is the 31st institution among the chain of NITs started by the Government of India.

- Ground Response Analyses
- Seismic Design of Retaining walls
- Liquefaction Evaluation Methods
- Performance of Piles and Piled Raft Foundation under Earthquake Conditions: Theory, Research, and Practice
- Simplified Seismic Analysis of Caisson Foundations for Bridges
Faculty Members, Research Scholars, and PG Students are invited to apply. The entry is restricted to 100 participants.
The Registration fee is Rs. 500/- per participant for Faculty and Rs. 300/- for Research Scholars and PG Students. The fee needs to be paid only after getting the confirmation email from the FDP coordinator. To register online for the FDP, click here.
